Keith Istre is a south central Louisiana native. Born on the Wednesday afternoon of June 10, 1970 at Iberia Parish General Hospital to a welder and housewife. He is the only brother of two older sisters. He moved from New Orleans to New York City in 2006.
Keith Istre’s first produced plays were ADAM AND STEVE in 2003 and BLACKBERRY ANGELS in 2005 at the Marigny Theater in New Orleans. His other creative endeavors include citizen journalism, photography and speculative fiction writing.
Keith Istre enjoys reading, the internet, sci-fi films and television. Some of his favorite authors are Ben Bova & David Weber (sci-fi), Stephen King (horror/dramatic) and Michael Crichton (techno-suspense). A few of his favorite books are All’s Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, Before Night Falls by Reinaldo Arenas and Delores Claiborne by Stephen King. He is a fan of the Firefly, Star Trek, Star Wars and most other space themed animation, books, movies, television franchises. He spends most of his time reading, writing and people watching.
